Passphrase

This is the password or phrase that will be used to encrypt or decrypt your text. To help ensure the passphrase does not contain a typo, we ask for passphrase confirmation. A sentence with punctuation is better than a traditional 6-8 character password.

Message

This text field should contain the plain text you desire to encrypt, or the encrypted text you want to decrypt.

Encrypt / Decrypt

Based on the task you would like to perform, this buttons will encrypt or decrypt the text message. If the two passphrases do not match, encryption or decryption will not occur and you will see an warning message.

A few suggestions

1. You can encrypt text more than once. Just click the encrypt button a few times. To decrypt, click the decrypt button multiple times till you see your original text.
2. You could change the passphrase between multiple encryptions. Reverse the sequence of the passphases when decrypting.
